Marino, a native of Louisiana, obtained her bachelor’s degrees in biochemistry and business from Centenary College and her medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, both in Shreveport. Katy Marino joined the Department of Surgery at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 2019 after completing her fellowship in Cardiothoracic Surgery at the University of Louisville in Kentucky.
